12-31-2015 Update

My last post was a while ago and I wanted to provide an update.
I am currently working on the design for a nice stand for the project.
I am also working on a few videos, the first that I will publish is going to be an overview of the function of the lights. I will demonstrate what each warp factor looks like as well as some fun programs. In the follow on video I will go through some of the parts and talk about decisions I made during the design and printing concerns. I will also make a recording of me assembling the project and talk about some of the shortcomings and issues with assembly.
If there are specific topics you want me to speak to or if you have questions you would like me to address in the videos let me know.
Here is a little taste while I work on making some videos using a cell phone and go pro!

12/6/2015 - Update

I have the first coat of paint on everything.
These were the last parts to recieve the first coat of paint.
I now have to wait 48 hours before i can put a second coat on everything.
A few parts will require a third and possibly a fourth coat. I should be doing assembly in 6-10 days!

12-4-2015 update

I am in the home stretches before assembly.
I am spraying the last copper today. You can see the parts in the pictures.
I spent a ton of time sanding and filling on this and it could still use more. It's pretty good now and I want to move onto another project soon.
You can see the parts waiting for the last sanding pass.

12/1/2015 - Update

I am painting primer the next few days. I noticed a few parts had some imperfections that will require some filler to fix. This will require one extra sanding and primer pass before i can put color on them.
Unfortunately there isn't much to show at the moment.
